Digital pathology firm Lumea has entered into a strategic partnership with Mindpeak, a developer of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven image analysis technologies, to integrate Mindpeak's algorithmic tools into Lumea's diagnostic platform.
Under the collaboration, Mindpeak's Breast Suite and tools for PD-L1 analysis and Gleason grading tools for prostate cancer will be integrated into Lumea's BxLink platform, the firms said in a statement. These AI-based tools are designed to improve tumor grading precision and risk stratification, enabling better-informed clinical decisions, the companies noted.
"By uniting efficient tissue processing, a cutting-edge image management system, and intelligent AI analytics, Lumea and Mindpeak are contributing to the evolution of digital pathology," James Thackeray, Lumea's chief commercial officer, said.
Financial and other details of the agreement were not disclosed.
