Precision molecular diagnostics firm Variantyx has raised $36 million in a recent funding round, bringing the total funding that Variantyx has raised to more than $125 million.
Participants in the round included Peregrine Ventures, Pitango HealthTech, New Era Capital Partners, and Bosch Ventures.
In a statement, the Framingham, MA-based company said that it intends to use the funds for technological and commercial expansion.
Variantyx offers whole genome sequencing-based tests and comprehensive genomic profiling platforms for diagnosing multiple genetic disorders, including its Genomic Unity prenatal test. Variantyx expanded into precision oncology in 2021 with its OncoAlly solid tumor analysis and hereditary cancer panel.
